Physics books for JEE Main and Advanced

Physics for JEE is built in layers: NCERT for the syllabus and definitions, one concept-and-problem book (HC Verma or DC Pandey) for the whole course, and one hard problem book (Irodov, Pathfinder, Physics Galaxy illustrations) for JEE Advanced. The pages here describe each book so you pick one per layer instead of collecting six. All of them are paid publications; NCERT is the free one.

Questions aspirants ask

Which physics book is best for JEE?

For most aspirants: NCERT plus HC Verma for concepts and DC Pandey for exam-style practice. Add Irodov or Pathfinder only for JEE Advanced and only after the first two are done.

Is HC Verma enough for JEE Advanced?

For concepts and mechanics, close to it. For the multi-concept problems JEE Advanced asks in electromagnetism and modern physics, aspirants add a problem book such as Physics Galaxy illustrations or Pathfinder.
