JEE Advanced 2022 Paper 1: official question paper and answer key

What this paper is

JEE Advanced 2022 Paper 1 is one of the two papers every candidate sat that year. Both papers carry all three subjects; the question types and marking scheme are set each year by the organising IIT and printed on the paper’s first page, so read that page before attempting it under time.

The question paper and the final answer key are published by the organising IIT in the official archive. That archive is the source for this page and the only one you should trust: scanned copies on download sites are sometimes the provisional key or a coaching institute’s solution, not the final official key.

How to use it as a mock

• Print both papers of the year or load them on a second screen; sit Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the same day, with the gap the exam keeps
• Mark answers on a separate sheet, then score with the final official key only
• Log every wrong answer by topic; the next week’s study order comes from that log
• Compare with the other paper of the same year: the two papers test different formats

Where it sits in a preparation plan

Years from the last five or six are the ones to sit as timed mocks in the final months. Older years are better used topic-wise, because the pattern has changed, and the chapter-wise PYQ books in this section sort them that way.

Free, legally

The paper and key are free from the organising IIT’s archive. Competer Free also lists JEE papers with permission notes. No download site adds anything to the official PDF.
